Astrid embraced the furry neck of her pet. Lucas didn't mind, for it could understand she needed it more than ever before. It was only yesterday that the young woman's eyes were full of life, and now her gaze was stern, frigid. Everything they had to go through together fused their hearts into one.

Skills

Browser Astrid and Lucas skill 1

White: Go for it, Lucas!

Astrid accumulates 17% rage with each attack. Once her rage reaches 100%, Astrid can use her first skill: her pet transforms into rage form and rushes to the front row, taking the enemy's attacks on itself. It takes no damage from these attacks, but each attack deprives the pet of 7% rage. While fueled by rage, the pet attacks the nearest opponent. Once its rage runs out, the pet will revert to its passive form.

  • Pet attack damage: 39,160 (20% Physical attack + 135 * Level)
Browser Astrid and Lucas skill 2

Green: Rampant Nature

Astrid increases her attack and skill speed by 9 seconds. If her pet is in rage form, the attack speed bonus affects it instead of Astrid. The pet also gets this buff when transforming to rage form.

  • Attack and skill speed increased by 159.8 (0.46 * Level + 100)%
  • Initial cooldown: 1 second
  • Cooldown: 20 seconds
Browser Astrid and Lucas skill 3

Blue: Predator's Charge

Passive skill. As long as Astrid's pet is in rage form, each consecutive attack deals increasing damage.

  • Increase in damage with each attack: 7 (0.05 * Level + 1.5)%
Browser Astrid and Lucas skill 4

Violet: Tracker's Mark

Passive skill. Each of the hero's attacks marks the enemy hit with the Tracker's Mark for 4 seconds. If the pet hits a marked enemy, the enemy is stunned for a short period.

  • Chance to stun is lowered if the target's level is above 130

Miscellaneous Info[]

  • Astrid must make 6 basic attacks to fill Lucas with rage, which takes about 20-25 seconds by herself.
  • The silence debuff prevents Astrid from using the 1st skill.
  • Normally, Lucas begins attacking in 1st position of the formation. This puts the 1st allied hero in 2nd position, and the other allied heroes back in position number, too.
  • Normally, his activation also pushes back the closest enemy. If the 2nd closest enemy is very close to the front of the enemy formation, then this makes the 2nd closest enemy become the 1st closest enemy, which is the target of most attacks. On rare occasions, Lucas pushes 2 or more enemies back.
  • Lucas, only in rage form, is able to take the poisonous attacks from Yasmine, and can be stabbed during her first skill usage. Her poison marks continue to stay with him, even if he reverts to passive form.
  • When Astrid faces backwards and activates Lucas, he too will face backwards and jump towards the back. An example of this is if she is attacking an enemy Luther, who has jumped into Astrid's formation, and then uses her first skill: Lucas will also attack Luther.

Lucas's Jump When Astrid Uses This Skill

  • When Lucas is activated by this skill, he jumps into position, giving him the benefits which other heroes get: jumping over walking or charging enemies.
  • When he jumps to first position, he jumps in front of Elmir's front clones, which were created before hand. The clones appear in front of Lucas, only when they are created after Elmir returns to the front after using his first skill.
  • He can also jump under jumping enemies. For example, if Dante is the closest enemy, and if Dante jumps, then Lucas can be activated and attack the enemy behind Dante.

How Astrid's Positioning Affects Lucas's Jump[]

There are 2 exceptions to how Lucas interacts with the enemies, when he is activated in the campaign's 2nd wave and later, and the tower's 2nd battle and later; perhaps in other game modes, too.

  1. When Astrid is in 1st position, she stops walking farther back than the tanks and some/all warriors. Players should hold the key down so that he will be activated as soon as possible. This forces the enemies to keep walking, which gives Lucas more time to jump over 1 of them [maybe more?], which can turn that enemy around.
  2. When Astrid is in 2nd position, she can use her 1st skill and push 2 enemies back [3 or more?], instead of just 1.

Green: Rampant Nature[]

Astrid can be seen activating this after the first basic attack. This skill lasts for 2 3-4 basic attacks. She makes 2 more basic attacks, and then After the 4th basic attack, activates this second skill again. This cycle repeats until the end of battle or until she dies.

Rampant Nature can be doubled up on Lucas consecutively or concurrently. In other words, if Astrid uses her 1st skill after her 2nd or 3rd attack, then Lucas gets the speed boost for almost twice as long; 1 after the other. On the other hand, if Astrid uses her 1st skill just before the use of Rampant Nature, then Lucas gets the speed boost twice mostly at the same time; from the use of the 1st skill and again when she uses Rampant Nature.

Strategic Information[]

Because Lucas pushes back the closest enemy, he is an anti-tank hero. This should allow his teammates to attack the other 4 enemies more easily. For example, her ally, Astaroth, can get close enough to attack more than 1 enemy, or her ally, Chabba, can swallow an enemy other than the enemy tank.

Lucas is a soft counter to Luther. After Luther lands in the middle of Lucas's team, he can be activated, and then he will immediately attack Luther.

Lucas is a soft counter to Yasmine. She does attack him, when he is the last to hit her.

Lucas is a strong counter to Daredevil's green skill, "Discharge!". He alone will be targeted, which allows his allies to continue fighting normally. He is a soft counter to Daredevil's blue skill, "Firefight". He will be targeted, but nearby enemies will also receive damage. Nearby enemy damage might be avoided if his allies fight at a distance.

Side Note: Soul Stones[]

Her soul stones are given as loot from 10 history fragments of chapter 14 and 15. This means that players should expect to receive 30 just from the history fragments by time they finish the campaign. Players should also expect to receive 4 from the hero missions of chapters 14 & 15; 1 for finishing each mission the 1st time.

This brings the total to 34 soul stones. If the player did not participate fully in the Summon an Epic Hero! event, then these soul stones will allow him to summon Astrid & Lucas, and evolve them to 2 stars, with 4 stones left over. If he did fully participate in the event, then he will need more to reach 4 stars.

История Астрид и Лукаса - Хроники Хаоса

"He's so stubborn, oh yes he is!" she wiped her tearful eyes with her dirty hands, leaving stains on her face. "My father, the king of Ghirwil City, is so fixated on progress and his own scientific developments, he completely forgot that the mountain is our home! Nature needs our care. If my own father won't listen to reason, I'll go ahead and do everything as I must, without those excuses for advisors and the other sycophants!"

Astrid hit her fist against the dust covering the tunnel colonnade, plunking herself down on the floor. She closed her eyes and braced herself against the cold wall, trying to calm down. A noise in the eastern tunnel disrupted the girl's musings. She could distinctly hear the rambling speech of several drommers. She found their intonations odd, and the topic they were discussing even more so.

"The ritual... hummm... we can begin the ritual soon. The Lord is aware that I... that we're doing our best," spoke one voice. "All day long, all day long, all day... We implant crystals into those who didn't accept our Lord right away! whispered the other. "Drommers alone won't be enough. We've obtained a new batch of animals. They grow quickly, and they'll accumulate more energy than any local resident" proclaimed the third voice, the loudest and most confident of the three. "I'm ready... ready to implant crystals into them all! The more crystals we implant, the more sacrifices we make. And the more sacrifices we make, the more energy we provide to our Lord!" the second voice murmured again.

Astrid tensed up. "What the... What Lord? Why would he want sacrifices...?" thoughts flashed in her mind. "Also, what animals are they talking about? There are hardly any animals in Ghirwil City, none larger than a mole!" The girl rose up and followed the voices, making sure to remain unnoticed. The voices never ceased.

"The king shall fall. Mmmaa... ummm... His fate is madness!" bleated one, his voice meek and unpleasant. "The masters won't help. Everyone, everyone will go mad. Everyone." whispered the next.

Astrid grew dizzy upon hearing the drommers mentioning her father, blood rushing to her head. She thought wistfully, "Dad, you're so immersed in science you can't even notice a betrayal under your very nose!" The girl proceeded further, down to a spot where the tunnel merged with a spacious hall. She could hear a loud clattering noise in it.

When the entire scene came into her view, Astrid found herself at a loss for words... There was no room left in the hall because of cages housing drommers of all ages and different clans, terrified looks on their faces. The captives were led up to a platform one by one, and the cultists, obviously fanatics, drove large Titanite crystals into their skulls with a hammer. The eyes of each victim rolled upwards at once, only to take on a dull and insane gaze when they returned. On top of that, each subject began whispering something about the Lord. Astrid diverted her gaze, unable to bear witness to such atrocities. Suddenly, she saw a cage standing at a distance from the others. A wondrous beast restlessly circled inside, growling and hissing. It resembled a cat the girl had seen in pictures in the Book of Tales.

Astrid, an avid champion of nature, didn't think another instant as her heart fluttered. The girl approached the cells holding the drommers captive and unbolted the doors of the nearest ones. Then she stepped up to the cage with the beast and opened it, jumping away at once. All because the beast seemed to be about to attack her, growling and baring its fangs. The crystals in its head swayed gradually as the predator prepared to leap at the girl. Astrid backed away, grabbed the first rock she could find, and flung it at the giant feline. A couple of the largest crystals split off from the beast's with a pitiful shriek head, leaving the animal to waggle its bushy head in confusion. It growled and fled, casting one last glance at Astrid.

The girl hurried to unbolt the other cages, ignoring the cultists running after her, their dark deeds abandoned. The drommers who had regained their freedom were too weak to help their rescuer. All they could do was drag themselves away from their captors. The circle of pursuers was closing in, and it wasn't long until Astrid found herself trapped without any chance to escape.

"Is this how I die," she thought, "turned into a madman like those poor souls with Titanite piercing their heads...?" Astrid prepared for one last battle, she wasn’t going to let them take her alive! Suddenly she heard a noise from beyond the corner of the hangar. It grew louder and louder, turning into a cacophony of sounds. And then, a mass of snarling teeth and claws tumbled into the chamber, sweeping the cultists aside in its path...

Once everything was over, the wild cats fled, all except one. The cat Astrid saved settled beside her with a matter-of-fact air. And then, it started to clean itself, starting with a spot inappropriate to even mention in polite society. "Did you only just realize that I'm not going to harm you, silly?" smiled Astrid. "Meow!" responded the animal. "Lucas! That's right! I'll name you Lucas!" Astrid exclaimed. "Purr, purr, purr," replied the ‘cat,’ not seeming to object to its new name. "Thank you," the girl uttered in a suddenly serious tone. "If you don't mind becoming my friend, I'll take you to meet my dad, King Khornak. There's a lot we have to tell him." "As long as it's not too late..." thought Astrid as she exited the hall with Lucas cheerful hopping along.

Trivia[]

  • She is Khornak's daughter, she escaped when Seymour took over Ghirwil City with her pet.
